About this product
Renowned worldwide in the aquascaping community, the Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) is widely considered the single best algae eater in the freshwater hobby. Originally popularized by Takashi Amano, these industrious invertebrates work non-stop to clean plants, hardscape, and substrate.
Unlike smaller dwarf shrimp, Amanos grow up to 4–5 cm, allowing them to tackling tough algae varieties including hair algae and thread algae that other shrimp simply ignore.
